Downtown Eastbound I-64 to Fully Close This Weekend

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports St. Louis work zones for November 8 -14.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close all lanes on eastbound Interstate 64 downtown from Jefferson to the Poplar Street Bridge November 8 - 12. Crews will be working on the section of the double deck just over I-55 and the depressed lanes of I-70 downtown. While crews are working on the roadway above, drivers on I-55 heading to I-70 may be detoured onto Memorial Drive and back to the interstate for safety. The ramps from Forest Park Avenue and Pine Street to eastbound I-64 are closed around the clock through November. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

Traffic Ahead: All Westbound I-64 Lanes to Close in Downtown St. Louis Friday Night

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis area work zones for June 7-13.

Westbound I-64 closed downtown Friday night The Missouri Department of Transportation will close all westbound Interstate 64 lanes from the Poplar Street Bridge to Jefferson at 8:30 p.m., Friday after the Cardinals game begins. The 10th Street and 14th Street ramps to westbound I-64 will remain open. Motorists should use I-44 and Jefferson as a detour. Crews will open one lane at 6 a.m., Saturday, with a second lane open before noon. The far left lane on westbound I-64 will remain closed after noon. Traffic will be on the two right lanes, separated by concrete barriers. Traffic Ahead: I-270 Preparation Work to Begin, No Problems for Weekend Events

Missouri Department of Transportation crews have plenty of work scheduled during the next week but none of it will keep motorists from the Cardinals opening day on Friday or the Go! St. Louis Marathon on Sunday.

  There will be lots of activity on Interstate 270 next week as crews make pavement repairs then narrow lanes and install barrier to begin work to add a northbound lane between Interstate 44 and Manchester Road.  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday crews will close up to three lanes of northbound I-270 from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. Additionally, Sunday and Monday, crews will close two lanes on northbound I-270 off-ramp at Manchester to make pavement repairs. One lane will remain open on the ramp. The work is scheduled Sunday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Monday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Maintenance crews continue taking advantage of the warm temperatures for striping, bridge flushing and pothole repairs. Traffic Ahead: Highway Work on I-64 Downtown St. Louis and in IL This Weekend

Missouri and Illinois departments of transportation are doing work on both sides of the river this weekend.

Motorists traveling Interstate 64 downtown this weekend should be aware of work zones in Missouri and Illinois. Two eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 between Jefferson Avenue and 11th Street will close for bridge painting, Friday at 7 p.m., and reopen Monday by 5 a.m. Additionally, the 11th Street ramp will close Friday at 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. only. The ramp will be open the remainder of the weekend. Missouri Department of Transportation also will have lane and ramp closures on eastbound I-64 downtown this weekend. The Illinois Department of Transportation will close I-64 from the I-55/70/64 split to IL Route 111 to remove bridges carrying 9th Street and 10th Street over I-64. All lanes will close at 9 p.m. Friday, and reopen by 5 a.m., …

The Missouri Department of Transportation announced the following work zones from Feb. 2 to Feb. 8. In South County: In West County: In downtown St. Louis, remember the eastbound I-64 exit ramp at 6th street is closed for the next two weeks.
