Ballot Set for Apr. 2 Local Elections
In Fenton there is a two-man race for mayor
The ballot for the Apr. 2 local elections became final Wednesday, which was the last day candidates could file. Fenton voters will elect a new mayor to fill the seat currently held by Dennis Hancock, who announced last year that he would not seek re-election after 12 years on the job. Two people are vying for the mayor's post - Alderman Paul Seemayer, Ward 1, and former alderman Michael D. Polizzi. There also are a number of aldermanic seats up for bids but they are mostly uncontested. Ward 1 incumbent Seemayer cannot run for two offices at once, so his aldermanic seat is at stake.
