Cleaning Supply Saleswoman Nabbed in Kirkwood

A roundup of odd and unusual crimes in and around the St. Louis area.

Collaring the Cleaning Lady On Sept. 26, at 6:37 p.m., officers in Kirkwood responded to the area of Kirkshire and Regent Terrace for a report of solicitors. Officers located a woman from California who was selling cleaning products. She was arrested for soliciting without a license. Wondering if the Taser Was Mightier than the Sword A man called police reporting his roommate had threatened him with a Taser and a sword before taking money and illegal drugs from his home on Cleveland Drive. The suspect fled and is currently being sought by detectives. Hospital Traffic Paraphernalia Discovered Kirkwood police responded to a report that numerous traffic cones and street signs were discovered in the vicinity of the 300 block of Reith Terrace. …

Burglars Busy on Fourth of July Weekend

The following information was provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Lake Drive, Fenton Between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m on July 3, a burglar entered a home on Lake Drive in Fenton through an unlocked window and stole three gold rings, a computer, monitor and printer and a Nikon camera. The value of the items was set at $1,250. Winter River Court, Fenton A white Cub Cadet commercial lawn mower, valued at $1,200, was stolen sometime between 5 p.m. July 3 and 8:30 a.m. July 4 from a home on Winter River Court. The mower had been parked on the side of the home. Martin Drive, High Ridge On July 2 a burglar entered a home on Martin Drive in High Ridge and stole various items including a 1977 McCluer High School class ring, two gold rings and a gold chain.
