35th Annual Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival Set for This Weekend

Stop by the Apple Butter Pavilion to see how the delicious treat is made, and stick around for lunch, live music and shopping at hundreds of craft booths.

The 35th Annual Apple Butter Festival kicks off this weekend in historic Kimmswick.  The event, which is expected to draw about 100,000 people, runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Be sure to bring a jacket because temperatures are expected to only reach the mid-50s this weekend. The Kimmswick Historical Society will once again be making and selling its famous apple butter at the Apple Butter Pavilion on Market Street. Visitors will also be entertained with live music throughout the two-day event, which will feature hundreds of craft and food booths. The town of Kimmswick will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event, but visitors can park at Windsor High School at 6208 Highway 61-67 in Imperial and catch a …

One thing, if you go to the apple butter fest. There are lots of cars and LOTS of Kimmswick police officers in control of it all. I happened to be late in getting my plates registered, and got nabbed by one of Kimmswick's finest as I sat in traffic. Just a heads up.   more ›
