Westbound I-64 Lanes Continue Closed For Weekend Work in Downtown St. Louis

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis work zones for September 20-26

Westbound Interstate 64 in downtown St. Louis will be closed from the Poplar Street bridge to 21st Street starting at 6 p.m. Friday and reopen by 3 a.m. Monday. One eastbound lane on I-64 from 21st Street to the Poplar Street Bridge will be open starting at 6 p.m. Friday. The Broadway, 10th Street and 14th Street entrance ramps to westbound I-64 will be closed this weekend. All ramps, including 14th street on ramp will reopen by 3 a.m. Monday. Crews are continuing work to remove and replace the driving surface on the westbound double deck structure. The depressed section of I-70 eastbound and westbound will be closed starting at 8 p.m. Friday and reopen by 9 a.m. Saturday.  Traffic will be diverted to Memorial Drive. The reversible lanes …

Westbound I-64 Closed Downtown as Double Deck Work Continues

Lane shifts and lane closures continue on westbound and eastbound I-44 near Fenton as part of a of a pavement reconstruction project.

Missouri Department of Transportation crews will close all lanes and ramps on westbound Interstate 64 downtown between the I-44/I-55 ramp on the Poplar Street Bridge and 21st Street on the double deck structure this weekend, starting at 10 a.m. Friday to continue work to remove and replace the driving surface. Up to two eastbound lanes will be closed for safety during this work. All westbound lanes, except for the right lane, will be open by 5:30 a.m. Monday, August 12. Lane shifts and lane closures continue on westbound and eastbound I-44 in between Lewis Road and Antire Road as part of a pavement reconstruction project. The changes on I-44 will remain until fall 2012. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

Cardinals Fans: Be Aware of Ramp Closures Downtown

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis area work zones for August 2-8.

Ramps closed downtown Cardinals fans heading from the city to westbound Interstate 64 this week should remember that several ramps to westbound I-64 will remain closed until early September. The ramps from Broadway, 10th Street and 14th Street will be closed around the clock. Downtown commuters, to include Cardinal fans, will need to use Pine Street, Jefferson Avenue or Market/Compton to get back onto westbound I-64. Illinois fans coming to the game will be able to use the 9th Street ramp to get into the city from westbound I-64. Traffic Ahead: More Resurfacing on I-64 Downtown; Lanes Closed on I-70 at Earth City Expressway

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis area work zones for July 26-Aug. 1.

Westbound I-64 downtown Drivers on westbound Interstate 64 downtown need to be aware of several lane and ramp closures scheduled to start as part of the double-deck resurfacing project. On Thursday night, crews will close all lanes and ramps on westbound I-64 between Broadway and 21st Street at 8 p.m. The detour is to take westbound I-44 to Jefferson and take northbound Jefferson back to westbound I-64. The two right lanes will reopen by 5:30 a.m. Friday. At 10 a.m. Friday, crews will again close all lanes and ramps on westbound I-64 between Broadway and 21st Street on the double deck structure. Traffic Ahead: 125 MoDOT Highway Work Zones Scheduled

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis area work zones for July 19-25.

St. Louis area motorists should be prepared to slow down and plan for the many work zones that are scheduled over the next week. The Missouri Department of Transportation has 125 work zones scheduled on interstates and arterials throughout the region during the next several days. Friday, repairs to the Interstate 70 bridge over Earth City Expressway will impact traffic when two lanes and various ramps are closed.  These repairs are part of MoDOT’s contract on the I-70 Blanchette Bridge. The two westbound lanes will close 7 p.m. Friday and reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. The westbound I-70 exit ramp to southbound Earth City Expressway and the ramp from northbound Earth City Expressway to westbound I-70 will also close during the repairs. Saturday…

Traffic Ahead: All Westbound I-64 Lanes Closed Downtown This Weekend; New Route 141 Opens

MoDOT closes all westbound I-64 lanes in downtown this weekend The Missouri Department of Transportation will close all lanes on westbound Interstate 64 between Broadway and 21st Street downtown this weekend. The closure will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. All lanes, except for the left lane, will be open by 5:30 a.m. Monday. During the closure, ramps from 10th and 14th streets will remain open to westbound I-64. Motorists are urged to take westbound Interstate 44 to Jefferson Avenue as a detour to access westbound I-64.   Relocated Route 141 and Page-Olive Connector to Open MoDOT and St. Louis County will celebrate the completion of two projects with a joint ribbon cutting event on Saturday. Traffic Ahead: More Than 100 Work Zones in the St. Louis Area

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on St. Louis area work zones for June 14-20.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has more than 100 construction and maintenance work zones planned in the metropolitan area during the next week. MoDOT asks drivers to slow down and be aware in work zones. From downtown St. Louis to Franklin County, MoDOT crews and contractors are taking advantage of the good weather to make progress on major construction projects. This includes such as widening Interstate 270 between Manchester Road and Interstate 44, and the I-44 pavement reconstruction between Lewis Road and Route 141. Traffic Ahead: Most Highway Work Crews Off Memorial Day Weekend

A few permanent work zones will still see activity.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will restrict its construction work zones Friday at 12 p.m. through Monday for Memorial Day. Permanent work zones, such as the eastbound lane of Interstate 70, between St. Louis Avenue and Broadway, will remain in place. Crews will resume scheduled work zones on Tuesday morning. Starting after evening rush on Tuesday, May 29, crews will have one lane of eastbound Interstate 44 at Antire Road closed around the clock. The closure to make roadway repairs and resurface I-44 will last through September. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

Traffic Ahead: Westbound Lanes Closed Downtown on Weekend, Open For Cardinals Game

Roadwork will close westbound traffic downtown most of the weekend. One lane will be opened around mid-day on Saturday and Sunday.

Westbound I-64 lanes closed downtown–1 lane open Saturday and Sunday for Cardinals and Blues games Missouri Department of Transportation crews will close all lanes of westbound Interstate 64 between Broadway and 21st Street starting at 8 p.m. Friday, April 27.
