The resident confronted the man in his driveway after the burglar ran outside, police said.
A Fenton man caught another man burglarizing his home at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, St. Louis County Police said. Alexander Watson, 22, of the 5100 block of Romaine Spring in Fenton, was charged Wednesday with first-degree burglary and misdemeanor stealing. Police said in a report that Watson was in the home in the 5700 block of Keller Bend Drive, and ran out a basement door when the homeowner arrived. However, the victim confronted him in the driveway and forced him to turn over the stolen property. Watson had two bottles of whiskey and an X-Box controller, according to the report.

Lark Drive, High Ridge A man reported to a sheriff’s deputy that someone forced open the tailgate to his pickup, which had a locked cover, and stole more than $900 worth of tools as the truck was parked in his driveway on Lark Drive. The theft occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Monday and 3 a.m. Tuesday. The stolen tools included a Makita circular saw; Dewalt cordless drill, charger, two batteries and drill bits in a black case; a yellow, plastic toolbox with hand tools; two electrical testers; and a toolbox with drills and hole saws. Rock Creek Road, High Ridge Officers responded to a call for a sexual assault - first-degree statutory sodomy - on July 21 on Rock Creek Road in High Ridge. The victim, his father and the reporting party were contacted. The victim told police he was sodomized by the suspect. Police contacted the on-call juvenile officer, who is investigating the case. Grand Terrace Drive, Fenton Officers responded to call for a theft from a vehicle on Grand Terrace Drive in Fenton on July 20. Two air compressors, two nail guns, four air hoses and a Global Positioning Unit were reported stolen from the work van. The property was valued at $4,560.
