High Ridge Woman, Fenton Man Arrested for Stealing From Clothing Box

The incident happened March 29 at a clothing donation box on the parking lot of the Fox C-6 Service Center in Arnold.

A 43-year-old High Ridge woman and a 45-year-old Fenton man were arrested for stealing clothing from a charity donation box in Arnold. The incident happened Friday, March 29 in the parking lot of the Fox C-6 Service Center at 849 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold police say. They were also arrested for second-degree trespassing. The two were in possession of about $60 in clothing, according to police. The man was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were booked and released on summonses.

Police: After Stealing a $7.50 Tip Jar, Fenton Woman is Held On $50,000 Bail

Police said Lori Sisak made off with the jar after a cashier at Smoke Sensations told her she couldn't access the cash register's money unless Sisak made a purchase.

A Fenton woman faces first-degree robbery and armed criminal action charges after attempting to rob a smoke shop at knifepoint last month—and only made it out with a tip jar. A cashier at Smoke Sensations, 10532 Page Ave., said Lori Sisak entered the store with a knife around 8:25 p.m. on Jan. 12, and demanded money from the cash register, according to St. Louis County Police. When the cashier told Sisak that she would need to purchase something to open the register, she ran out of the store with a tip jar from the counter. Sisak's take was just $7.50, but her bond was set at $50,000.

High Ridge Man Burglarized Wildwood Home, Police Say

The man stole an autographed jersey and electronics, and also sold stolen gold, Edward Jones insignia jewelry.

A High Ridge man burglarized a Wildwood home in early December and also pawned gold Edward Jones jewelry, St. Louis County Police said. James S. Bright, 25, of the 6200 block of Sunshine Drive in High Ridge, was charged Saturday with second-degree burglary, felony theft and receiving stolen property. St. Louis County Police said Bright broke into a home in the 500 block of Nantucket Pointe Drive in Wildwood between 7:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Dec. 7. According to the police report, he stole an autographed sports jersey, 46-inch flat-screen TV and an iMac computer monitor. Bright also is charged with selling a gold Edward Jones insignia ring with diamonds, a gold wedding ring and an Edward Jones anniversary gold pin on Dec. 8. He was captured …

Shot Gun and PlayStation Stolen While Homeowner on Vacation

The following incident report was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Greenfield Manor Drive, Fenton The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department is investigating a burglary that happened in Fenton while the homeowner was away. The homeowner asked a friend to check his house, and on Dec. 6 the friend found a rear window broken. The homeowner waited until his return before contacting the sheriff. On Dec. 11 he reported that an air soft pistol had been moved and that a Remington 870 pump shot gun had been stolen. His PlayStation, a digital camera and about five dollars in change were also missing. A deputy dusted the air soft pistol for prints and was able to lift partial prints from both sides of the barrel. Dad Breaks Leg While Trying to Prevent Son and His Friend from Stealing Truck

Two Jefferson County men have been indicted by a grand jury for the theft of a pickup in Crestwood. The second man was also indicted for assault.

The St. Louis County grand jury indicted a Jefferson County man on Dec. 5 for stealing his father’s pickup truck, while his friend was indicted for stealing the truck and second-degree assault. St. Louis County prosecutors said the two men, Nicholas Doane, 19, of the first block of Wampler in Jefferson County near Arnold, and Anthony Passiglia, Anthony Passiglia, 28, of Arnold, stole Doane’s father’s truck on Oct. 5. Doane’s father used a cell phone app to track the truck to a Kohl’s department store parking lot in Crestwood, where he confronted the two men and demanded his truck back. Cash, Jewelry Stolen From Grieving Widow Following Funeral

Almost $7,000 was reported stolen after a woman invited family members over to her Barnhart home after her husband's funeral.

Almost $7,000 was reported stolen after a Barnhart woman invited family members over to her house after her husband's funeral on Nov. 10. The victim told officers with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department that she noticed several items missing after family members left her home on Meadowbrook Drive. Among the items were $600 in cash and several pieces of jewelry, including a man's gold wedding band. The woman said she had received a call from her niece who told her who had taken the money and jewelry. Police tried to make contact with the individual to no avail.

That's horrible! Who could do that to someone who's grieving? My mother-in-law's house was burglarized when her dying husband was in assisted living & she was out of her house one night. They took heirloom jewelry that's irreplaceable. It's awful that there are such selfish people in the world!   more ›

West County Resident Sees High Ridge Man Flee Her Home

St. Louis County Police said they caught the man a short time later with jewelry stolen from the home.

A West County resident arrived home about 1:43 a.m. Oct. 12 to see a burglar running out a back door in home in the 300 block of Messina Drive. St. Louis County Police said they caught the man a short distance away, with four pieces of jewelry from the home in Sorrento Springs Estates just south of Ballwin. Christopher Purtle, 32, of the 2100 block of Boxwood Lane in High Ridge, was charged Oct. 13 with first-degree burglary, misdemeanor stealing and possession of drug-related items. Police said Purtle stole three rings and a necklace from the home, and that he had hypodermic needles when he was arrested. Purtle is being held in St. Louis County jail in lieu of a $30,000 bond. DNA Match Leads Police To Brown Mackie Burglary Suspect

Police said the man stole two laptop computers and $200 cash from the college in Fenton.

A Brentwood man faces criminal charges of breaking into a Brown Mackie College building in Fenton and stealing computers. Myron Whiters, 51, of the 1500 block of Banneker Avenue in Richmond Heights, was charged Aug. 29 with second-degree burglary and felony stealing. St. Louis County Police said Whiters smashed a window to enter the building at 2 Soccer Park Road in Fenton and stole two laptop computers valued at $3,500 and $200 cash. Police responded to a an alarm sounding at the college and found the broken window. Officers matched DNA from a blood sample found at the scene and matched it to Whiters, according to court documents. Bond was set at $25,000. Police Say Fenton Woman Stole Mom's Checkbook, Wrote Bad Checks

The woman is accused of cashing 16 forged checks for $955.

A Fenton woman faces criminal charges after stealing and cashing checks on her mother’s account. Amanda Gottlieb, 27, of the 300 block of Peffer Lane in Fenton, was charged Aug. 6 with 16 counts of forgery. St. Louis County Police said in a report that Gottlieb stole 16 checks from her mother and cashed them from May 29 through July 13 on Old Smizer Mill Road. The checks totaled $955. Bond was set at $30,000.

High Ridge Man Tried to Steal Motorcycle, Police Say

A witness confronted two men attempting to steal the cycle, and the men ran off, St. Louis County Police said.

A High Ridge man was charged Monday with trying to steal a motorcycle in Fenton. St. Louis County Police said witnesses saw Jacob D. Markmueller and another man pushing a black, Honda CBR motorcycle from its space on a parking lot in the 600 block of Green Earth Drive in Fenton at about 12:45 a.m. June 3. They pushed the motorcycle up a grassy incline and tampered with the ignition, according to the report. One of the witnesses confronted the men, and they dropped the cycle and ran, police said. The ignition was damaged and the back foot knob was broken off. Police arrested Markmueller a short time later. Markmueller, 18, of the 4400 block of Meadow Drive in High Ridge, is charged with attempting to steal a motor vehicle. Bond was set at $…
