What would you name the eighth?
The original story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was written in 1812 by the Grimm Brothers. This version of the story did not have names for the dwarfs. It was not until 1937 when Disney made the cartoon version of the movie that the dwarfs received names. Two S's, Two D's, and three emotions. Sleepy, Sneezy, Dopey, Doc, Happy, Bashful, and Grumpy. What if a new spot opened in the mine and an eighth was needed? This is what we asked several people in Fenton. "I would name the eighth dwarf Sunny, because I would really like it to be sunny right now or be somewhere that is sunny.
