Six Flags St. Louis reveals the lineup of Christian artists scheduled to perform at the park this season. Tickets for the Christian concerts go on sale March 29.
Some of the Christian music industry’s top inspirational acts will take the stage this year at the Old Glory Amphitheatre at Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka, including: Tickets for the Christian concerts go on sale March 29. Reserved seating tickets are required for all concerts, and are available at the Palace Theater Box Office in advance or day-of-show for an additional fee. Thursday morning was the first time Krystal Chavez had been on a water slide; ever. Thursday morning was also her wedding ceremony. Krystal and Gabriel Chavez braved the new Bonzai Pipeline water slide at Six Flags St. Louis to be the very first couple wed Thursday and to christen Six Flags' new addition to Hurricane Harbor in Eureka. The couple from Pevely, won the opportunity in a radio promotion to host their wedding on the new water slide. They and three other couples could each have 20 guests at the park for their big event. The other three couples reside in St. Louis; Farmington and Park Hills. Bonzai Pipeline opens to the public this Saturday. Water park guests plummet 40 mph through 290 feet of tubing. From MVP St. Louis Cardinals' player to roller coaster thrill seeker, former Wildwood resident David Freese christened Six Flags' new "Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast" roller coaster on Thursday.
David Freese was as good a sport at Six Flags St. Louis Thursday as he is on national baseball fields. As part of this year's Media Day at the amusement park in Eureka, Freese helped the Six Flags staff officially launch their renovated "Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast" roller coaster, which takes riders from 0 to 70 mph backward through a 190-foot tunnel into a 180-degree inversion and finally climbing the 222-foot tower in reverse, hanging parallel to the ground, before diving straight down! Six Flags ran a contest last month to see who would brave the ride with Freese on this day. The entertainment park will have three job fairs in February.
Teens and people seeking summer employment should vist Six Flags St. Louis on Saturday. The entertainment park will have a job fair, in Eureka, at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The company also will have job fairs on on Feb. 11 and Feb. 25 to hire 3,000 people this season, the St. Louis Business Journal website reports. The park wants to fill positions for ride operations, food service, lifeguards, cashiers, landscapers, ticket takers, medical services personnel, security officers, marketing/sales internships, finance and retail.
