Shoplifter Gets Oil Change While Stealing from Walmart

The following incident report was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Walmart, High Ridge Deputies responded to a reported theft at the High Ridge Walmart on Dec. 8 at 10:36 a.m. The store’s loss prevention officer told deputies that a shoplifter was spotted on the surveillance video stealing a desktop computer and two laptop computers valued at $1,217.93. The store was able to track down the identity of the shoplifter because the woman was having her car serviced at the attached Jiffy Lube while committing the crime. Jiffy Lube gave the deputies the address of the car owner and the deputies paid her a visit. The shoplifter admitted stealing the computers.
