SSM St. Clare Health Center President Bill Hoefer recently installed Ginny Goede as president of the SSM St. Clare Health Center Auxiliary. Goede will serve a two-year term as Auxiliary president and chair of the Executive Board. She has been a volunteer for St. Clare Health Center, 1015 Bowles Ave., Fenton, since 2009. The auxiliary is for members of the community who want to support SSM St. Clare Health Center by participating in fundraising and social activities. The auxiliary has funded projects at the hospital such as the two-story water wall and arbor courtyard. Goede’s goal is to grow the auxiliary by 100 members in 2013, raise money for the hospital and have fun in the process. Anyone who is interested in joining the SSM St. Clare …

Adan Joseph Neely was born at 3:51 a.m., Jan. 2 at SSM St. Clare Health Center
Andrew and Amanda Neeley of Fenton welcomed their son Adan Joseph, 8 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 inches long, at SSM St. Clare Health Center at 3:51 a.m., January 2. Adan was the first baby born at SSM St. Clare Health Center in 2013 and is sure to see a lot of attention, as he is now the youngest of 26 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren in his family. Adan has a one-year-old brother, AJ, who also was delivered at SSM St. Clare. SSM St. Clare congratulated the Neeley family for Adan’s arrival as the hospital’s first baby of 2013 with a gift basket filled with books, blankets, bibs, stuffed animals, toys and other items.

The facility in Fenton is tinted pink in recognition of breast cancer awareness.
SSM St. Clare Health Center has its pink on this month to mark breast cancer awareness month and the many programs the health center offers for women who have a cancer diagnosis. SSM St. Clare patient and Eureka resident reunite with Eureka Fire Protection District paramedics at hospital in Fenton to present Lifesaver awards Wednesday. The team stabilized four different heart attacks on the patient.
When Eureka resident Todd Brown was having chest pains Sept. 16. Eureka Fire Protection District paramedics responded to the 911 call. When the team arrived, they found Brown had gone into cardiac arrest. The paramedics quickly began CPR and defribrillated Brown, restoring circulation. Within a minute of the pulses returning, the paramedic team said they performed a pre-hospital EKG, and determined Brown was having a heart attack. They notified SSM St. Clare Health Center in Fenton when they were 20 minutes out to activate the Cardiac Cath Lab. I have taken my husband there and another time I taken my daughter there and I can say this is the first hospital EVER that cared more about the patients health than the payment. Every hospital I have ever gone to around the St. Louis area(which were many different ones) cared more about the payment first than the patients health first.
