Ginny Goede Named SSM St. Clare Auxiliary President

Goede hopes to add 100 members to the St. Clare Auxiliary in 2013.

SSM St. Clare Health Center President Bill Hoefer recently installed Ginny Goede as president of the SSM St. Clare Health Center Auxiliary. Goede will serve a two-year term as Auxiliary president and chair of the Executive Board. She has been a volunteer for St. Clare Health Center, 1015 Bowles Ave., Fenton, since 2009. The auxiliary is for members of the community who want to support SSM St. Clare Health Center by participating in fundraising and social activities. The auxiliary has funded projects at the hospital such as the two-story water wall and arbor courtyard. Fenton's Newest Resident is First St. Clare Baby of 2013

Adan Joseph Neely was born at 3:51 a.m., Jan. 2 at SSM St. Clare Health Center

Andrew and Amanda Neeley of Fenton welcomed their son Adan Joseph, 8 lbs. 13 oz. and 21 inches long, at SSM St. Clare Health Center at 3:51 a.m., January 2. Adan was the first baby born at SSM St. Clare Health Center in 2013 and is sure to see a lot of attention, as he is now the youngest of 26 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren in his family. Adan has a one-year-old brother, AJ, who also was delivered at SSM St. Clare. SSM St. Clare congratulated the Neeley family for Adan’s arrival as the hospital’s first baby of 2013 with a gift basket filled with books, blankets, bibs, stuffed animals, toys and other items.

New Cardiologist Joins SSM St. Clare Health Center

Hari Thanigaraj, MD, joins fellow cardiologists Phillip Apprill, MD; Manoj Eapen, MD; and Anish Thomas, MD; at an office located at 1011 Bowles Avenue, Suite G10, in the St. Francis Medical Office Building in Fenton.

Hari Thanigaraj, MD, a board-certified interventional cardiologist, has joined SSM Heart Institute at St. Clare Health Center, 1015 Bowles Avenue, Fenton.  Thanigaraj has been in practice since 2000 and provides personalized cardiac care to diagnose and treat heart disease, heart rhythm problems and adults with congenital and structural heart diseases. His practice includes performing cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, coronary stents and catheter closure of defects in the heart’s chambers. He also conducts diagnostic cardiac testing such as stress tests, cardiac ultrasounds, vascular ultrasounds and heart rhythm monitoring. SSM St. Clare Has Pink Glow For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The facility in Fenton is tinted pink in recognition of breast cancer awareness.

Multiple Heart Attack Victim Reunited With His Lifesavers at SSM St. Clare

SSM St. Clare patient and Eureka resident reunite with Eureka Fire Protection District paramedics at hospital in Fenton to present Lifesaver awards Wednesday. The team stabilized four different heart attacks on the patient.

When Eureka resident Todd Brown was having chest pains Sept. 16. Eureka Fire Protection District paramedics responded to the 911 call. When the team arrived, they found Brown had gone into cardiac arrest. The paramedics quickly began CPR and defribrillated Brown, restoring circulation. Within a minute of the pulses returning, the paramedic team said they performed a pre-hospital EKG, and determined Brown was having a heart attack. They notified SSM St. Clare Health Center in Fenton when they were 20 minutes out to activate the Cardiac Cath Lab. SSM St. Clare Will Get its Pink On Throughout October

The hospital has scheduled a variety of activities and events to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, SSM Breast Care will host the following activities across the SSM Health Care – St. Louis facilitie throughout October. The public is invited to partake in the events. SSM Health Care – St. Louis campuses turned pink All SSM Health Care – St. Louis campuses, including SSM St. Clare Health Center in Fenton, will be turned pink from Oct. 1 to Oct. 31. The amount of pink and what’s turned pink will vary by campus. Employees at each campus will wear pink on Fridays during October. SSM St. Clare is one of only three hospitals in Missouri that is on a list published by "Becker Hospital Review."

SSM St. Clare Health Center, 1015 Bowles Ave., Fenton, has been named to Becker Hospital Review’s list of “100 Hospitals with Great Women’s Health Programs,” which recognizes some of the most outstanding hospitals for women’s health programs in the United States., according to a news release from the hospital.
