Fenton Bank Robbery Suspect Also Robbed Walgreens for Cigarettes, Police Say

Police said they chased the man Aug. 29 after the bank robbery, with speeds exceeding 100 mph.

A man already accused of robbing Reliance Bank in Fenton now faces criminal charges connected to a Chesterfield Walgreens robbery Aug. 15. Joseph Haring, 27, of the 100 block of Sugar Mountain in Fenton, was charged Tuesday with first-degree robbery in connection with the Walgreen incident. He was charged Sept. 12 with second-degree robbery and resisting arrest for an Aug. 29 incident at Reliance Bank. Chesterfield Police said Haring robbed the Walgreens at 917 East Chesterfield Parkway at about 6 p.m. Aug 15. Police said Haring was armed with a knife when he stole cigarette cartons from Walgreens. St. Louis County Police said Haring forcibly stole money from Reliance Bank, 1000 South Highway Drive in Fenton, at about 9:20 a.m. Aug 29. …

Man Wanted for Questioning in Bank Robbery Investigation is Hit by Ambulance on I-44

The investigation continues into the robbery of Reliance Bank Wednesday

The St. Louis County Police Department has located a man they have sought for questioning following a robbery Wednesday at Reliance Bank, 100 S. Highway Drive, Fenton. He was hit by an ambulance as he walked on Interstate 44. Police issued a statement Friday that they have located Joseph L. Haring, who is being sought for questioning, Haring was hit by an ambulance not on an emergency run as he was walking on the shoulder of Interstate 44 near Interstate 270. A Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report indicated Haring was walked from the inside shoulder of the highway and into the roadway when he was hit by the ambulance. The ambulance swerved to the right in an effort to avoid Haring, but he was struck by the left side of the ambulance…

Man Demands Money in Fenton Bank Robbery

Bank robber gets away with money and flees down the highway.

A man wearing a blue shirt and dark shorts, about 6 feet tall with a buzz haircut walked into Reliance Bank, 1000 South Highway Drive, Fenton, at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday and demanded money. He then fled the bank with the cash. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured.  The man drove away in a silver Honda SUV and went east on Interstate 44. Police believe the vehicle was stolen in Fenton and used in the robbery St. Louis County Police have a person of interest in the heist. Wanted for questioning is Joseph L. Haring.
