Arts & Education Council Grants Available for Fenton, High Ridge Area Teachers

Stemming from a large donation from Maritz, local teachers can apply for new grants ranging from $500 to $5,000. Deadline is Sept. 7—spread the creative word!

Arts and Education Council representatives will accept applications for the Maritz Arts and Education Fund for Teachers until Friday, Sept. 7. Applicants may visit council's website for more information. Grants will be made only for programs that take place from Oct. 15, 2012 to June 14, 2013 in the 16-county, bi-state St. Louis metropolitan region: Arts and Education Council managers announced Thursday they had received a $30,000 donation from Maritz to fund the third year of the highly successful and award-winning Maritz Arts and Education Fund for Teachers. The money will be used by A&E to provide grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 for education projects in individual schools and nonprofit education organizations during the 2012-13 …

Fenton Area Chamber Celebrates New Offices

The chamber recently moved its offices to a location on the Maritz Campus.

The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated its new offices on the Maritz Campus with a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony. More than 70 Fenton chamber members, Maritz executives and local dignitaries joined in the event. Maritz executives included Dennis Hummel, president and COO; Con McGrath, senior vice president and chief people officer; Bill Heisserer, vice president of facility management; Chuck Winkle, director of mail/contract services; and Debbie Schirmer, community affairs manager and member of the Fenton Chamber board of directors.
