Lindbergh Early Childhood Education Earns National Design Award

Lindbergh ECE earns National Design Award Learning By Design magazine recently awarded the Lindbergh Early Childhood Education building a “2012 Outstanding Project” award for General Excellence in the Early Childhood School category. The building, which was designed by Ittner Architects and opened in January 2011, serves students ages 2 through Pre-K. It was constructed as part of Prop R 2008, a $31 million bond issue. The building features 14 classrooms, a fully enclosed outdoor playground, restrooms in each classroom, LEED green building design features and a state-of-the-art security system. “The design is very simple and economical, yet the splash of primary colors on the front of the building creates an excitement, bringing its own …

Lindbergh Offers Tips To Parents When Choosing Pre-School Options

Asking the right questions will help parents evaluate early childhood education options.

This year, during the Week of the Young Child, April 22-28, Lindbergh Early Childhood Education Director Charlene Ziegler is offering tips for parents who are exploring preschool education options for their young children, ages 2-5. “Above all, parents and their children should feel comfortable with the staff, culture and educational quality of whichever option they choose, and it is important to ask the right questions to help your family make an informed decision about your child’s school,” Ziegler said in a news release from the Lindbergh district.
