Linus Drive, High Ridge The girlfriend of a man who resides at an apartment on Linus Drive, High Ridge, is suspected of using his debit card Apr. 4 to withdraw $1,000 of his Social Security pension funds. According to a sheriff's deputy's report, the man said his girlfriend did not have authorization to use the debit card, and had replaced it in his wallet with another similar card, one that bore the name of a known friend of his girlfriend. The following information was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Cool Valley Drive, Fenton Various jewelry items including necklaces, rings, watches, pendants, and bracelets turned up missing from a woman's belongings March 26 after they were shipped from her home on Cool Valley Drive in Fenton to her new home in Colorado. Also missing were prescription medications and two walkers. The Missing items were valued at $3,550. The woman, who moved to Colorado March 24, told a sheriff's deputy she had asked two friends to wait for a moving company to arrive March 25 to pack up her belongings from the Cool Valley Drive home. A Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy responded to a burglary in progress on Mary Drive and found five people in the house who didn't live there.
Five people - including two Fenton women - are facing charges in connection with a home burglary in Fenton. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office received a call about a burglary in progress at a home in the 10 block of Mary Dr. on Dec. 23, according to court documents. When the deputy arrived at the home, he found the front and back doors had been forced open. The deputy entered the home and found five people inside who didn't live there, court documents state. The five included: All five had items in their pockets from the home, court documents state. They have been charged with second-degree burglary by the Jefferson County Prosecutor's Office. A detective with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department found Brandon Gaertner and Nicholas Harper in Harper's shed allegedly cooking meth.
Two Fenton neighbors are facing first-degree drug trafficking charges after they were found in a shed allegedly manufacturing meth. A detective with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department found Nicholas Harper, 26, and Brandon Gaertner, 20, both of the 100 block of Flint Dr., in Harper's shed on Oct. 4, according to court documents. The two agreed to allow the shed to be searched. During the search the detective found a a plastic bottle in which chemicals were "reacting" and creating a strong ammonia smell, the documents state. A bottle of drain opener was found near the porch of the home. Gaertner was also charged with possession of a chemical with the intent to create meth, court documents state. The following information was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Bay Circle Drive, Fenton Someone climbed through a window of a home sometime between March 21 and March 23 on Bay Circle Drive, Fenton, and stole a tattoo machine and other items. Missing were a black, carpeted "sub" box containing two speakers, two Nintendo entertainment systems, a "Rebel Bottom Line" paintball gun, a silver and black BB gun, various games and movies and the tattoo machine, which was missing the tattoo gun. The total value of the items was set at $470. The homeowner reported to the sheriff's department that entry to the home was made through a window by the front door. Authorities aren't reporting any major problems on the roadways, but urge motorists to slow down and take it easy. Plus, here are a couple other weather-related notes.
Authorities say the roads in Fenton and High Ridge are OK, but they are urging motorists to take their time. "We had a couple minor accidents off 21, but other than that, nothing major," said Capt. Ron Arnhart, of the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office. "Drivers just need to slow down and take it easy." Officer Aaron Dilks, of the St. Louis County Police Department's Fenton Precinct, said there were a couple minor incidents, but no major problems reported in the city of Fenton. In other weather-related news today, the Jefferson County Library will open at 10 a.m. due to inclement conditions. Also, there will be no Jeffco Express service today.

Hillsboro Valley Park Road, High Ridge A loaded pistol was stolen March 19 from an unlocked vehicle at a residence on Hillsboro Valley Park Road, High Ridge. The firearm was valued at $500. Missing was a black Taurus semi-automatic .40 cal. pistol that was loaded with 15 rounds of hollow point ammunition. Deputies at the North Zone office of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department were approached by the victim who told them he had left the pistol in the glove compartment of his wife's car and left the vehicle unlocked. Pebble Creek Drive, High Ridge Jewelry valued at $13,000 was stolen sometime between Feb. 13 and March 13 from a home on Pebble Creek Drive, High Ridge. Missing were four diamond rings, two bracelets and a pair of sunglasses. The homeowner told a sheriff's deputy her wedding rings were missing from from a jewelry box located on top of her dresser and a wedding band also was missing from from a ring box located in the top drawer of her dresser. The following information was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. The Sheriff's Department is investigating a credit card spree over the past several months in which an ex-employee of a business in High Ridge used a company credit card at several locations in High Ridge, Imperial and Festus to make numerous unauthorized purchase totalling $3,000. The business owner was notified by the sheriff's department to also contact agencies in St. Louis and Ste. Genevieve counties to determine if there were even more unauthorized purchases using the credit card.

Thief leaves behind a pillowcase.
The following information was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Cardinal Lane, House Springs A theft of 430 pills from a home was reported March 5 by a homeowner on Cardinal Lane, House Springs. Missing were Nurontine 100mg (200 pills), Citralopram .01mg (40 pills), Hydrocodone 7.5/300mg (90pills), Tamsulosin 4mg (90pills) and Clowdding 1mg (10pills). The value of the pills was set at $100. A pillow case the homeowner said was not his, was left in his residence by the thief. The sheriff's report stated the homeowner had left his residence at 9 a.m. and when he returned home at 10:15 a.m. he noticed the rear door of the home was open.
