Check showtimes at the Great Escape Theater, Gravois Bluffs. - - - - -  Broken City Mark Glass, Patch blogger: This urban political/crime drama is surprisingly well-scripted, with more than its fair share of twists and turns. Editor's Note: All reviews and information aggregated from Moviefone. - - - - -  Gangster Squad Review from Patch blogger Mark Glass: Movie Review: Gangster Squad Austin Chronicle: "Despite the unrelenting action and the terrific cast, Gangster Squad comes up more scattered than successful." Austin Chronicle. Full Review A.O. Scott of The New York Times: "His (Fleischer) first feature, "Zombieland," was a half-witty genre parody. This one might be described as genre zombie-ism: the hysterical, brainless animation of dead clichés reduced to purposeless, compulsive killing. Too self-serious to succeed as pastiche, it has no reason for being beyond the parasitic urge to feed on the memories of other, better movies." Full Review Ann Hornaday …

Neil Smith of Total Film. Full Review. 11:30 a.m. 3:15, 7, 10:30 "Russell Crowe's pained vocal stylings (they sound more like barks) as relentless Inspector Javert can be forgiven after hearing Hugh Jackman's old-pro fluidity in the central role of Jean Valjean, hiding a criminal past." Patch Announces St. Louis Readers' Choice 2012 Winners

Jilly's Cafe and Steakhouse in High Ridge and the Great Escape Theater in Fenton were two local favorites of Patch readers all over St. Louis who voted for everything from favorite beauty salon to best beer garden to restaurant with the friendliest staff.

No doubt they're tough questions. Settling upon St. Louis' best thin-crust pizza is like naming your favorite child. The best coffee house? Where do you start? Pulled pork sandwich? How about all of them? But readers could only choose one. And they chose wisely.  Patch on Wednesday announced the winners of its Readers' Choice 2012 competition. Readers helped nominate local businesses and organizations for select categories then voted on them over a five-week period. When all was said and done, Imo's Pizza, the chain that has more than 100 locations in the St. Louis-area, was deemed best St. Louis-style pizza. The provel-loving restaurant beat out the likes of some of the best pizza parlors in town, such as Pi Pizzeria, Dewey's Pizza, …
