Fenton Area Chamber Scholarship Program Announced

Chamber scholarships are any high school graduates in the 63026 ZIP Code.

The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce (FACC) has announced its 2013 Scholarship Program, available to any high school graduate in the 63026 ZIP code.  The FACC scholarship program provides local high school graduates with funds to continue their formal education.  Since 1989, the FACC has given more than $211,000 in scholarships to 265 high school graduates.   Applications are available at local high schools or by contacting the Fenton Chamber Office at 636-717-0200. The students chosen to receive a scholarship will be recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Scholarship Luncheon on July 10. Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors planning to attend a college, university, technical or trade school. All applicants must reside in the 63026 …

Businesses, Business Leaders Recognized by Fenton Chamber

A variety of businesses were honored at the annual awards banquet of the Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce recognized leading businesses and business people at its 2012 awards banquet Wednesday. The award recipients were: Small Business of the Year: Baumhaus designs Mid-Size Business of the Year: Drury Hotels Large Business of the Year: Walmart Supercenter, Fenton Ambassador of the Year: Russ Ahlheim of Ad Source One Volunteers of the Year: Deb Bokamper, Decorating Den Interiors, and Joe Fischer, Jr. and David Christoff Fischer-Christoff Independent Asset Consultants. Chamber Spirit Award: Lisa Huseman and Jen McCook, Z Total Body, LLC. Board Member of the Year: Scott Borlinghaus, Fabick CAT.

Fenton Area Chamber Awards Student Scholarships

Sixteen college-bound students from local schools receive a boost from the Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce

The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce has awarded 263 high school graduates with more than $212,000 in scholarships money since 1987. This year there were 40 scholarship applications from Fenton area high school seniors.  Sixteen of the students were presented with a Fenton Area Chamber scholarship at an awards luncheon on Wednesday "It was a very difficult task to choose who our recipients would be," said Sean King, who made the scholarship presentations. "We are here to recognize the 16 seniors who stood out in some way." King announced each student's achievements as they were called to accept their Chamber scholarship. Fenton Chamber Business+Community Fair Set for Today

Businesses from all across the Fenton area will gather at Rockwood Summit High School to display their wares, provide information and offer food samplings.

The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for today's 2010 Business+Community Fair, to be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Rockwood Summit High School, 1780 Hawkins Road, Fenton. More than 100 booths will be on display featuring goods and services provided by Fenton area businesses. There also will be artwork on display from students in Rockwood schools. Local restaurants will provide food samplings. A photo booth is being sponsored by Coldwell Banker Gundaker and balloon figures will be made by Sammy J Balloon Creations. Other features of the business and community fair include, face painting, home interior tips and ideas, fitness advice from local businesses and free preventative health screenings. Fenton Area Businesses of the Year

Chamber recognizes businesses large and small at annual awards luncheon

The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce recognized businesses large and small for their efforts in 2011 at an awards luncheon Wednesday at Maritz Inc., 1375 N Highway Dr. Named as Small Business of the Year was UniQue Ideas 'N More, 2075B Bentley Plaza, Fenton. The store specializes in custom and monogrammed gifts. Commerce Bank, 487 Old Smizer Mill Rd., Fenton received the award for the 2011 Mid-sized Business of the Year. Maritz Inc., the sprawling sales and marketing service company in Fenton and the home of the Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce offices, received the 2011 Large Business of the Year Award. Fenton Area Chamber Celebrates New Offices

The chamber recently moved its offices to a location on the Maritz Campus.

The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated its new offices on the Maritz Campus with a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony. More than 70 Fenton chamber members, Maritz executives and local dignitaries joined in the event. Maritz executives included Dennis Hummel, president and COO; Con McGrath, senior vice president and chief people officer; Bill Heisserer, vice president of facility management; Chuck Winkle, director of mail/contract services; and Debbie Schirmer, community affairs manager and member of the Fenton Chamber board of directors. Fenton Area Chamber Awards College Scholarships

Fourteen high school seniors were honored at a scholarship luncheon

The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce presented 14 local high school seniors with scholarships at its July Scholarship Luncheon at Andre’s West Banquet Center. Scholarship recipients included Nathaniel Aden, Michael Baer, Dustin Capehart, Kellie Chapman, Maria Delgado, Caitlin Giustiniano, Rachel Greer, Kevin Heyn, Kelly Hill, Michael Maragni, Savannah Mulenex, Jordan Thomas, Bree-Ann Topp and Taylor Wakeland. Kevin Heyn was awarded the Ginny Goede Scholarship for his leadership and commitment to serving the community. Fenton Chamber Business, Community Fair Set June 1

The public is invited to sample local restaurant fare and visit with the dozens of local businesses that will be putting their best foot forward during the annual event

The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Rockwood School District Partners in Education are sponsoring the 2011 Business and Community Fair on June 1. More than 76 local businesses are registered for the fair, representing a wide variety of goods and services in the Fenton area. It is one of the Chamber's most popular events. In addition to the exhibits and displays by Fenton area businesses, a variety of local restaurants will be providing samples of their menu items. There also will be prizes, entertainment for the kids and a chance to meet the local members of he business community.
