Jessica L. Harris pleaded guilty to embezzling from her former Fenton-based employer Micro Engineering, Inc.
A federal judge sentenced Jessica L. Harris, of High Ridge to 27 months in prison on mail fraud charges. She pleaded guilty to embezzling funds from Micro Engineering, Inc., a Fenton-based maker of model railroad cars in November 2011, The U.S. Attorney's Office said a news release. Court documents said that, between 2004 to December 2006, Harris worked as an office manager and wrote corporate checks to pay her personal credit card. She concealed the embezzlement by entering false business records and manipulated checking account records. U.S. District Judge Henry Autrey also ordered Harris to repay about $230,000 to Micro Engineering, Inc., and business owner Ronald Rands. The U.S. Secret Service and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s …

The United States Attorney’s Office announced today in a news release that Terry Tonsing, Jr., pled guilty to defrauding his employer C2 Communications, a marketer of internet services located in Fenton. According to court documents, between 2003 and his departure in February 2007, Tonsing defrauded C2 by using the company's ATM/debit card for his personal food, travel, entertainment and for the mortgage on his personal residence. In order to conceal his actions, he had the company bank statements sent to his personal address. Tonsing’s unauthorized expenses caused shortages in C2's finances and as a result he fell behind in paying business expenses of C2, including federal withholding taxes of approximately $15,000.
