Used Tire Thieves Admit Multiple Thefts, Police Say

Weekly incident reports from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

The following information was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.  Two men arrested for stealing $500 worth of tires from a business in Brennan Plaza in High Ridge, told a sheriff's deputy they "routinely" steal used tires from tire shops around the area, according to a sheriff's department incident report.  The men reportedly stole the tires from a used tire rack on Dec. 18 at the Brennan Plaza business. An employee witnessed the theft and recorded the suspects' license plate number, but didn't contact police. After the employee notified his manager about the theft the next day, the incident was reported to police.  Police located the suspects, who admitted to stealing the tires, and told a deputy they "routinely" …

More Than $14,000 in Cash, Jewelry and Electronics Stolen From High Ridge Home

The following incident reports were provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

The following information was reported by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Rock Creek Road, High Ridge Cash, gold jewelry and electronics, valued at $14,317, were stolen July 17-18 from a home on Rock Creek Road in High Ridge. Missing was $2,000 in cash (all $100 bills), a 14K gold watch, three gold rings, two gold bracelets, a Dell laptop computer, 10 iPad Touch devices, two Gillette electric shavers, three Gillette electric shaver refills, approximately 50 CDs and a key ring containing the victim's keys. The homeowner said he had been sleeping while a houseguest entertained several people at the home. Upon waking up, the homeowner discovered the guest and his friends had left, and the homeowner noticed the items were missing. A…
