Valley Park Man Stabbed Mother's Boyfriend In Fight Over Food, Police Say

St. Louis County Police said Maurice Conner, 24, stabbed the man in the arm after the boyfriend objected to him preparing food for children in his Riverview home.

A Valley Park man is accused of stabbing his mother’s boyfriend in the arm Feb. 11 in Riverview in an argument over food. Maurice Conner, 24, of the first block of Cheryl Lane in Valley Park, was charged Fb. 12 with second-degree assault. St. Louis County Police said Conner was at his mother’s boyfriend’s home, and two young children in the residence had not been fed. When Conner went into the kitchen to get them some food, the boyfriend objected and the two argued, police said. Witnesses told police that during the argument Conner picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed the man in the arm. Fenton Woman Admits Making Up Story About Fake Cop Assault

The woman, who was charged Wednesday with making a false report, initially told Clayton Police a person, who appeared to be an officer, dragged her from her car and assaulted her.

St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office announced charges were filed Wednesday against a Fenton woman who claimed to be assaulted in Clayton by someone posing as a police officer. Stacy Warren, 47, of the 2200 block of Maximaus Drive in Fenton, claimed an individual who appeared to be a police officer dragged her from her car and assaulted her. An investigation by Clayton Police revealed several inconsistencies in the woman’s statement. When police pressed her, she acknowledged she made the story up. Making a false Report is a class B misdemeanor punishable upon conviction by a sentence up to six months in county jail and a fine up to $500.
