Young Accident Victim's Account: 'It's Bad Luck to Breathe on a Bridge'
Ten-year-old accident victim Isabella Burzio-Roca recounts the details of a crash and the events that followed.
Editor's Note: On July 6, Tamara Duncan, the editor of Wentzville Patch, posted a short account of an accident on the Blanchette Bridge in St. Charles. Two days later, one of the crash victims, 10-year-old Isabella Burzio-Roca, sent an email to Patch with with a remarkably clear and coherent account of the accident and its aftermath. Isabella's mother, Paula Roca, said each member of her family involved in the crash had coped with it in different ways. "I was shocked and proud to find out that my 10-year-old Bella kept a diary of the happenings on her iPod, typing every 'fact' through her own eyes," Roca said.
