New Friend Finders and Business Growers

Social and professional networking is the new way to socialize and, maybe, grow business too.

Since we've  had our little market we have learned that getting the word out about our place is easier said than done.  We just want to say, "We have a really cute shop with lots of great stuff so come see us and buy some, OK?"

Well, it's not that easy.

Supposedly, it's also not that easy to find friends, romance, something fun to do, a new job, the best deal, business partners or anything else in the traditional manner we were once used to.  Nowadays, a person has to use "Social Media" like Facebook, Twitter or Groupon to guide their daily lives.

If someone isn't comfortable with the online gig or wants to actually see people, then face-to-face networking has grown by leaps and bounds and is the next best thing widely accepted in the new social and business circles.

Using all of these new age ways of meeting and staying in touch with people is great.  There's nothing like finding an old friend from school on Facebook, right?  We probably all know a happy couple who met through an online dating service. And who hasn't printed a good deal off of the Internet?

We should all hope, though, that the wonderful "old" way of meeting and stayng in touch isn't gone.  Like meeting good friends through other good friends or that wonderful word of mouth referal to the next good find.

We, at The Green House, believe in the formula of  balance=healthy.  Bringing in the old with the new and avoiding extremes in anything we do seems to be the best way and yet the most challenging for all of us.  Wouldn't you agree?
