Sunday Night Lights to Provide Football Game Experience

Children struggling with cancer will have an opportunity to participate in a high school football game experience under the lights at Flyers field on the Lindbergh High School campus.

Sunday Night Lights at Lindbergh High School is set for Oct. 7, its third year of providing a fun and exciting high school football game experience to young children with cancer and other blood-borne diseases.

This year’s event will include game booths from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. and a 7 p.m. flag football game on Flyers Field at Lindbergh High School, 5000 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Sunday Night Lights is open to all young patients and their families throughout the St. Louis and surrounding areas. Lindbergh’s varsity football team, cheerleaders, Flyerette dance team, Lacrosse club, marching band, and student council are working together to make this a night the kids will treasure.

Sunday Night Lights is an opportunity for “cancer heroes,” their families and friends to enjoy a memorable evening just for them! The young athlete participants and their families will be treated to a pre-game dinner, and then they will march onto the field and be individually announced under the stadium lights of Flyers Field. They also will participate as flag football athletes, cheerleaders, dance team members or alongside the marching band.
