George Guffey Sudents Take First in State Archery Competition

Several Fox School District students placed in the Fifth Annual Missouri National Archery in the Schools and will move on to the national competition in May.

Fox students in Fenton and Arnold took home several honors following the Fifth Annual Missouri National Archery in the Schools (MoNASP) state tournament March 22 and 23 at the University of Central Missouri. 

The following students and teams will advance to the national tournament May 10-11 in Louisville, Ky, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Conservation.

  • George Guffey Elementary School took first place in the Elementary School division
  • Ridgewood Middle School took second in the Middle School division
  • Meramec Heights Elementary School, third place, Elementary School division

Individual awards:

  • Jacob Lehman, Fox High School, third place, High School Males
  • Elora Doherty, Fox High School, fourth place, High School Females
  • Richie Freuks, Seckman Middle School, fourth place, Middle School Males
  • Ethan Hughes, George Guffey, second place, Elementary School Males
