Fenton’s “Ultimate Fighter” Prepares for Bout on Home Turf

A Fenton man and MMA professional who competed on the most recent season of “The Ultimate Fighter” will be fighting on his home turf next month.
Middleweight fighter Adam Cella announced on his Facebook page that he’ll be facing off against Travis Sveum at River City Casino on June 15 for Shamrock Fighting Championship’s 15th anniversary event. Both fighters are 170 lbs.
The 27-year-old is 4-1 in his professional MMA career and has also dabbled in kickboxing.  Earlier this year he also competed on FX’s “The Ultimate Fighter.” While Cella took down the “Honey Bear” in his first fight, his run on the show ended with a knockout kick from Uriah Hall in the third episode.
Cella later told Knuckle Junkies he didn’t remember the kick.
Cella trains at Finney's MMA in Crestwood.
