Zombie Authors Captivate Lindbergh High School Students

Jeyn Roberts and Jonathan Maberry share their writing experiences with Lindbergh High School students.

Lindbergh High School students filled the library Sept. 19 to meet young adult authors Jeyn Roberts and Jonathan Maberry, both of whom are known for their zombie apocalypse-themed fictional tales.

Roberts and Maberry shared how they became writers and answered questions from students. They also promoted their most recent books, “Rage Within” and “Flesh and Bone,” respectively.  Maberry, who also writes for Marvel Comics, recently sold movie and video game rights to his first book in the zombie series, “Rot and Ruin.” Roberts shared how an English teaching assignment in South Korea led her to write about isolation in the first book of her series, “Dark Inside.”

The event was sponsored by Lindbergh High School and Left Bank Books.
