This Weekend: LHS Players Performing One-Act Comedies

Students present "Funeral Parlor," "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind," and "Crushed" April 11-13.

The Lindbergh High School Players are performing a trio of one-act comedies April 11-13 in the LHS Auditorium, the school district announced in a news release, including:

  • “Funeral Parlor,” by Christopher Durang, is a comedy about an uninvited guest who attends a funeral and attempts to persuade the widower to mourn in public. Student director: Jordan Woods
  • “Crushed,” by Don Zoladis, is a series of scenes about what NOT to do when dating. Student director: Erica Krull
  • “Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind,” by the Neo-Futurists, is an experimental show that features audience participation on a series of 30 short scenes. The audience “orders” each scene by yelling to the ensemble. The scenes are artistic and creative in nature, and are not related to one another. Student director: Loren Howard

The shows are at 7 p.m. each night, and admission is $5. The dress rehearsal will be at 6 p.m., April 10, and is free for senior citizens and Lindbergh staff. The LHS spring play is produced by Theatre Director Jessica Laney.
