Rockwood Summit Ballplayer Needs Votes to Win Scholarship

Kyle Younger stands to win a $500 scholarship based on a photo his mother took just after the team won a state championsip this season.

Twelve finalists have been announced by Church Hill Classics (CHC) in its national Sports Photo Scholarship Contest 2012 , with a public vote to follow from July 17  to July  26 on www.diplomaframe.com.  Church Hill Classics (CHC) is a  manufacturer and online retailer in the college diploma frame industry, and has been expanding into high school/college athletic awards including framed varsity letters.

One of the finalists in the sports photo contest is Kyle Younger, a member of the state champion baseball team, who submitted a celebratory picture taken just after the team captured the state title.

The sports photo contest was open to all high school and college varsity athletes who plan on attending college full-time for the 2012-2013 academic year. From May 22 through July 9, CHC asked for an original photograph that displays the ‘true celebration of a sport.’  For the contest, entrants were required to submit a photo that truly displays emotions from celebrating either the team’s victory, scoring a game point or winning the championship game, along with many other celebratory sports events.

Each of the 12 finalists will receive a custom varsity letter frame of their choice, and they are now in the running to win a $500 college scholarship through a public online vote. The finalist whose sports photo receives the most votes will be the winner of the $500 scholarship.

The finalists need the public’s help in getting votes, which will also help a student get one step forward in their education. This includes their friends, family, other athletes, students, teachers, coaches, and more! Check out the 12 finalists and vote for your favorite.

The public can also help out the finalists by posting the link on their Facebook and Twitter pages and by emailing it to their family and friends. Pinterest is another way to help the finalists by repinning a favorite photo to one’s own board.

Church Hill Classics chose the 12 finalists by considering the spirit and emotion of their photos.  The sports photos represent jubilant athletes participating in soccer, beach volleyball, football, volleyball, track, lacrosse, softball, and baseball.
