Rockwood Names New Finance Director

A certified public accountant was promoted to the new director of finance for Rockwood School District.

Daniel Steinbruegge was named new director of finance. He replaces Scott Tate who just became the chief financial officer for the Cooperating School Districts of Greater St. Louis.

This past year, Steinbruegge served as Rockwood's coordinator of financial reporting. Prior to that, he was as an accountant for Waste Management in St. Louis and he served nine years as a manager, in-charge accountant and staff accountant for Kerber, Eck & Braeckel, LLP in St. Louis. While working for this firm, Steinbruegge’s duties included auditing governmental organizations, including Rockwood School District.

Steinbruegge earned both a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He also is a licensed certified public accountant.
