Rockwood Names Counselors of the Year

Two counselors of the year are from Uthoff Valley Elementary School in Fenton.

The Rockwood School District has named its counselors of the year for 2012.

They are:

Elementary Counselors of the Year
Lisa Sandbothe, 
Tina Kilpatrick, 

Middle School Counselor of the Year
Alice Patton, LaSalle Springs Middle School

Each year, a committee of parents, teachers and counseling staff review the award nominations and select counselors for recognition based on their leadership, innovation and outstanding service to the school community. 

Counselor Advocate of the Year
The committee also selects a counselor advocate of the year. This year, Jill Scheulen, principal of Crestview Middle School, has been chosen as the Counselor Advocate of the Year as a result of her support of guidance and counseling services.

“Rockwood has always had an exceptional counseling program and we are excited to recognize these individuals for their commitment and dedication to children and their contributions to their school communities,” said Shonda Ambers-Phillips, coordinator of Guidance and Prevention Services, in a news release from the district.  “These wonderful professionals are true models in the field of school counseling and we look forward to having them represent Rockwood in the St. Louis Suburban and Missouri School Counseling Association Awards program.”
