Living Faith Christian Academy Celebrates First Graduates

First year for new high school ends with three in the Class of 2012.

Living Faith Christian Academy, 1694 Smizer Station Road, Fenton, celebrated its first year of existence with a commencement ceremony In June for its first graduates.

The Living Faith Class of 2012 consisted of two students and a home school senior who also took part in the commncement ceremony.

The graduates were Gretchen Elizabeth Meinke and Sharron Renee Evering, who presented the valedictorian speech. Also participating in the graduation ceremony was Aaron Eaton, a home school senior who had taken a class at Living Faith to complete his graduation requirements. Aaron's parents presented their son with his diploma during the ceremony.

School board president Loren Copp, provided the graduation keynote speech.

After the ceremonies Living Faith Christian Academy administrator Lawrence Trokey expressed his pride and delight in the accomplishments of the graduates.

“Even though this is our first year, I’ve been with these students for a couple of years now since we all came here from another school that closed," Trokey said. "It is such a pleasure to be able to see them accomplish this milestone and get to share in the celebration of it with them. I’m so proud of them and excited about the road that lies ahead for each.”
