Lindbergh's Renaissance Man, Woman Named

The awards are presented to the two top seniors who best exemplify scholarship, leadership, character, citizenship and community service.

Lindbergh High School seniors Grace Watt and Brian Czaicki, were selected as the 2010-11 Renaissance Man and Woman of the Year at the recent  senior awards night.

The awards are presented to the two top seniors who best exemplify scholarship, leadership, character, citizenship and community service, according to a news release from the district. Both students are seven-semester Platinum Renaissance recipients, National Honor Society members and Link Crew participants.

In addition, Grace is a Science Research Fellow, a Rector Scholar and a Belk Scholar Nomination recipient. She has participated in varsity cross country; mixed, women’s, and a cappella choir; Tri-M; and Spanish club.  She also volunteers at the St. Louis Science Center and Life Science Lab and is involved with her church.

Brian is a Cornell Book Award and “Do the Right Thing” recipient.  He participates in National English Honors Society, Character Council and Student Council, and plays varsity soccer and tennis. Brian has also volunteered with Special Olympics, SPENSA and his church youth group.
