Lindbergh Schools Hosting Board Candidate Forum

Meet the four candidates running for Board of Education seats on March 14.

The Lindbergh Schools Board of Education will hold a candidate forum at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 14, in the Lindbergh Board of Education meeting room, at Lindbergh Early Childhood Education, 4814 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63126.

During the forum, Board of Education candidates Adam McBride, Kara Gotsch, Vic Lenz and Cindy McDaniel will answer a series of questions presented by the current board, and share information about themselves.

The candidate forum is open to the public, and media are invited to attend as well.

This year’s election will be on Tuesday, April 2.

I would love to attend and ask a few questions of the incumbent candidates but I guess the board does not allow such free and open discussion. Too bad, I think it would be very interesting to hear some honest responses to real questions. I do know that for the first time in my adult life I am paying very close attention to who I vote for in school board elections!

Mr. Ruzicka, I appreciate your desire to ask questions directly to the candidates at the forum, but time constraints unfortunately do not allow all the members of the community in attendance at the forum to ask questions. There are, however, other methods for you to obtain answers to your questions from me, Kara Gotsch, one of the incumbents you refer to in your comment: (1) you can contact me directly by phone or e-mail to discuss any of your concerns, my contact information can be found on the Board of Education page of the Lindbergh website, and (2) since January the candidates have been regularly (and are scheduled to continue doing so for the foreseeable future) attending meetings throughout the Lindbergh district (including attending a forum at Long Elementary where I believe you are involved) and answering the questions of those in attendance at the meetings. In addition, you will likely receive information addressing your concerns based on my responses at the forum, the information that I have on my website and fliers, and as set forth in my responses to the questionnaires sent to me by the local newspapers that will be published prior to the election. As you can see, there are plenty of other opportunities to ask me questions and I am happy to discuss those questions with you. This is true both as a candidate and as a Director. Thank you, Kara Gotsch (Director and Treasurer of the Lindbergh BOE)
