Lindbergh School Board Examines Rapidly Increasing Enrollment

A 570 student increase is projected by the 2016-2017 school year.

Saturday's Lindbergh School District Board of Education workshop is sure to get gears moving and ideas flowing.

The board will examine the district's influx in enrollment, as "significant growth" in Lindbergh's schools is projected by the 2016-2017 school year, according to the Call. That figure equates to about a 570 student increase, with a large portion of it happening at the elementary level.

"... we're going to increasingly enter a frustration zone in which many people are not happy with class size because we don't have any new classrooms at the elementary level and the high school level — not a one" Superintendent Jim Simpson told the Call. "So everything's going to have to go into existing classrooms."

The meeting starts at 8 a.m. at the administration building, located at 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
