Fenton Students Nominated for Queen of Love and Beauty

The event is in conjunction with St. Patrick's Day festivities at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Two Fenton students have been nominated as candidates for Queen of Love and Beauty as part of the 2013 St. Patrick's Day celebration in Rolla at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

 

The candidates were nominated by various student organizations at Missouri S&T. There are 36 queen candidates. A committee of students will elect a queen after a series of interviews, according to a news release from the university.

The 2013 queen candidates from Fenton are:

-- Anamaria Gaitan, a senior in biological sciences representing the Missouri Miner.

-- Meghan Werner, a sophomore in in engineering representing the Thomas Jefferson Hall Association

Coronation ceremonies will be at 9 p.m. March 15, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall on the Missouri S&T campus, in tandem with the knighting ceremony of Student Knights of St. Pat.

The Queen of Love and Beauty, her court and the rest of the candidates will all have places of honor on the queen's float during the 2013 St. Pat's Parade, held in downtown Rolla on March 16.
