Fenton's Our Savior Participates in Lutheran Schools Week

Lutheran Schools Week is Jan. 27-Feb. 2.

Thousands of Lutheran school students in the St. Louis Metro Area will celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week - Jan. 27-Feb. 2, including Our Savior Lutheran School, 1500 San Simeon Way, Fenton. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Baptized for This Moment,” based on Acts 2:38-39.
Participating schools, in addition to Our Savior, include Green Park Lutheran, Salem-Affton, Abiding Savior-Mehlville, Our Savior-Fenton, and Lutheran High South.

To celebrate the week, the students will take online mission trips to Thailand (through Lutheran Hour Ministries), compete in "Bible Bees," organize service projects, host special assemblies and welcome "special persons" to spend the day. The schools are members of the St. Louis-based Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA).

More than 7,000 children attend LESA-member Lutheran schools in the St. Louis Metro Area. Seven LESA schools rank among the largest Lutheran schools in the country. Two of those schools - St. John Lutheran in Ellisville and Christ Community Lutheran in Kirkwood and Webster Groves - are nationally-recognized Blue Ribbon Schools.

A Recognized Service Organization of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, LESA represents 30 elementary schools, four high schools and four related agencies in St. Louis and southern Illinois. For more information about LESA, its schools and its mission, call 314-268-1520, or visit www.metrolutheranschools.org.
