2013 Rockwood Service Winners Rock

Prestigious ROSE (Rockwood Outstanding Service in Education) awards are bestowed upon individuals who show excellence of character, performance, leadership and service to the Rockwood School District.

Rockwood School District officials announced the 2013 Rockwood Outstanding Service in Education (ROSE) awards recipients. Fifteen honorees were chosen from among 220-plus nominees this year. Local recipients from the Fenton and High Ridge area included:

  • Dawn Deaton, custodian, Bowles Elementary
  • Barb Mennel, secretary, Rockwood Summit
  • Shelly Palumbo, substitute teacher, Rockwood Summit

Recipients from other geographic portions of the district included:

  • Debbie Albert, teacher, Center for Creative Learning
  • Lisa Bushnell, teacher, Kehrs Mill
  • Laurie DeJohn, SSD teacher, Selvidge
  • Todd Godefroid, parent volunteer, Ellisville
  • Brian McKinnon, Adventure Club facilitator, Wild Horse
  • Marie Riley, secretary, Selvidge
  • Erin Rillema, teacher, Wild Horse
  • Alicia Smoot, bus driver, Babler Elementary
  • Terry Lancaster, Special School District teacher, Green Pines Elementary
  • Amanda Orphan, social worker, Individualized Learning Center
  • Bob Deneau, teacher, Instructional Technology
  • Danielle Toro, teacher, Pond Elementary
