MOMS Club® hosts outing to World Bird Sanctuary for stay-at-home moms and kids

New moms group explores Valley Park attraction

The two new chapters of the International MOMS Club® for West County and Central St. Louis County moms met Thursday in Valley Park at the World Bird Sanctuary for an outing for kids.

It was a great day for the kids to run around, and the World Bird Sanctuary is a great FREE place to do just that on a nice day. From their Web site:

"The World Bird Sanctuary rests peacefully on 305 acres of Missouri hardwood forest, next door to Lone Elk County Park and Chubb Trail. We are open daily from 8am - 5pm, and closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Free entry and parking.

The World Bird Sanctuary features free seasonal shows, nature trails, educational programs and picnic pavilions. Come see ourlive displays of Bald Eagles, Owls, Hawks, Falcons, Vultures, Parrots, Reptiles and much more!"

My 14-month old, J.C., particularly liked the pigeons and digging in the dirt while the older boys ran around to get their energy out and loved seeing the big birds. This attraction is great for kids that are walking on their own and don't need a stroller any more.

This outing is just one example of the types of activities moms enjoy in the MOMS Club. If you would be interested in joining, please check out our Web sites for more information! Dues are so affordable at $20 a year and moms get access to tons of activities and opportunities to socialize during the day.
