Congratulations Graduates!

Most people think of spring as graduation season, but for lots of student achievers, graduation season is now.

Most people think of May and early June as graduation season, but for lots of student achievers, graduation season happens just before Christmas.  As someone who graduated from both college and law school at the end of the fall semester, I have never lost the extra joy that this time of the year brings.  Last week, I had the honor and pleasure of celebrating with dozens of ITT Tech graduates in Arnold.

There is no place like a graduation ceremony to see hope and joy embodied in flesh and blood.  Perhaps most impressive was the number of honor students in this semester’s graduation class.  While I didn’t get the official count, it appeared that at least seventy five percent of graduates had grade point averages of at least 3.5.  In the dark days of this economic downturn, these brave, hard-working, and hope-filled graduates are ready to take on the world.  These men and women represent the light at the end of this tunnel.  They will become the future leaders of our communities, families, business and industry.  Fresh-faced and ready to roll up their sleeves, these graduates are poised to make this world a better place.  I can’t wait to see what they accomplish.
