Traffic Ahead: I-270 Preparation Work to Begin, No Problems for Weekend Events

Missouri Department of Transportation crews have plenty of work scheduled during the next week but none of it will keep motorists from the Cardinals opening day on Friday or the Go! St. Louis Marathon on Sunday.

There will be lots of activity on Interstate 270 next week as crews make pavement repairs then narrow lanes and install barrier to begin work to add a northbound lane between Interstate 44 and Manchester Road.  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday crews will close up to three lanes of northbound I-270 from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Additionally, Sunday and Monday, crews will close two lanes on northbound I-270 off-ramp at Manchester to make pavement repairs. One lane will remain open on the ramp. The work is scheduled Sunday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Monday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
