Town Hall Set to Explain 9-1-1 Changes, Rock Ambulance Services

The town hall meeting is being organized by 4th District Jefferson County Council Member Charles Groeteke.

Jefferson County 9-1-1 Chief Travis Williams will introduce changes to the new radio system being implemented by Jefferson County 9-1-1 Dispatch and the location of the towers in the county at a town hall meeting being held by 4th District Jefferson County Council Member Charles Groeteke from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Antonia Fire Protection District, 6633 Moss Hollow Road, Barnhart.

Chief Margie Sammons of the Rock Township Ambulance District also will present an overview of the district's ambulance services as well as share information and challenges about radio communications in the future.

Gary Smith, executive director for “Hand in Hand Pregnancy Help Center,” will provide information about his organization to familiarize residents with services that are available in the area for unplanned pregnancies.
