MoDOT to Attack Potholes

Missouri Department of Transportation teams launches "enhanced pothole patrol" this week that promises 24-hour service on weekdays. Where are the worst potholes near Fenton and High Ridge? Let's get them on MoDOT's list.

Missouri Department of Transportation officials will kick off an enhanced pothole repair initiative Friday. Maintenance crews will commit to repairing a pothole with asphalt within 24 hours of it being reported on weekdays.

MoDOT District Engineer Ed Hassinger indicated the goal is to aggressively tackle potholes to keep highways smooth and safe.

Officials will outline the new program in a media conference Friday. Crews will aim to tackle potholes early and get the asphalt mix filled in the hole while it is still small, benefiting both the department and motorists, said Kara Price, MoDOT senior community relations specialist.
