The Jefferson County Growth and Development Association will host its third annual Business Showcase from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Windsor High School, 6208 Highway 61-67.

JCGDA Executive Director Sarah Davis said the event will feature local businesses and service providers displaying some of the benefits of living, working and shopping in Jefferson County.

“What we try to do is showcase businesses in Jefferson County,” Davis said. “It goes with our mission that Jefferson County is the best place to work, shop and live. It really is just showing people what we have here in Jefferson County.”

Davis said there will also be representatives from the insurance, construction and IT industries, as well as food, a golf putting contest and activities for children.

“There are some good things here,” Davis said. “You can come in and get to play a little and get some information.”

Jefferson County Executive Ken Waller plugged the showcase during Thursday's county council meeting.

“I think it’s good for people to be able to come and see the businesses and services that are provided in the county that people might not know about,” Waller said.
