Reason for running: To serve the community as it should be.

What do you currently see as the biggest issue facing the City of Fenton?

The biggest issue facing Fenton would be the proper utilization of the available Chrysler site. I want to see a wise decision made, not a knee-jerk reaction to any offer submitted.

In what area does the City of Fenton need to improve?

An area for improvement would be respect and cooperation among the elected parties, consideration for the employees and an elimination of any 'elitist' positioning.

Assume you win the election. What single thing do you want to accomplish during your three years on the board?

If I am elected I would like to improve and raise the image of Fenton to one consistent with clean wholesome family values plus a creative development plan for Olde Towne.

Please provide a brief summary of your background, highlighting community involvement if applicable.

Business Owner for more than 20 years, served on the Fenton Planning and Zoning Board for 8 years, have supported the Fenton Charitable Association and other charities and cultural organizations

Please provide a brief summary of your reasons for running.

I have a willingness to serve and believe I can make a difference in the city of Fenton.  My business experience has helped me hone my skills for problem solving and decision making.

What do you currently see as the biggest issue facing the City of Fenton?

The biggest issue facing the city of Fenton is the loss of tax revenue from the closing of the Chrysler plants.  The sales tax redistribution policy in place prior to this event did not have a provision for a city which suffered such a huge loss of revenue. I believe the formula should be modified to return more revenue to the citizens of Fenton until the Chrysler property is again producing revenue.

How would you address the continuing uncertainty over the site of the abandoned Chrysler plants?

There have been and still are numerous proposals being discussed for the use of this property.  This property gives Fenton a wide range of exciting possibilities for the city.  I look forward to working with community leaders to develop this site into something which will make Fenton a desirable community in which to live and work.

In what area does the City of Fenton need to improve? Are you satisfied with the way the city has been operating?

We need a comprehensive plan for the development of Olde Towne. This is a beautiful historic area with a vast array of possibilities. The current administration has made many inroads to improving city facilities such as the new Meramec River Bridge. Everyday life brings new challenges, so there will always be more that can be done.

Assume you win the election. What single thing do you want to accomplish during your two-year term?

I would like to initiate policies that keep Fenton a desirable community in which to live and work.
