Fenton BreadCo Seeks OK to Add Drive-Thru Service

BreadCo is asking for a variance to lower the number of queuing spaces required for a drive-though facility.

The St. Louis Bread Company is seeking a variance from zoning requirements that would allow it to add a drive-through facilty at it's Fenton bakery/cafe at 453 Old Smizer Mill Road.

Core States Group, representing Panera Bread, LLC. (known as Saint Louis Bread Company locally) has petitioned the City of Fenton seeking a reduction to seven spaces from the 10 spaces called for in Fenton zoning regulations for drive-through facilities.

The Fenton Board of Adjustment is expected to hear the variance request at its Nov. 19 meeting. If the variance is approved, Core States will need to request a special use permit to reduce the number of parking spaces called for in the Fenton zoning code. That meeting will be on Dec. 4. The request then would move on to the full Fenton Board of Aldermen for consideration at its Dec. 20 meeting.
