Food for Fines Amnesty at Jefferson County Libraries

Library customers have a chance to have outstanding fines forgiven for overdue materials by donating canned food items. The library will forgive up to one dollar in fines for each can of food donated. Bills for lost or damaged library items or bills from libraries outside Jefferson County are not eligible for this program. Home-canned items, cans that are past their expiration dates or cans that are dented and damaged are not accepted.
