Wedding and Engagement Rings Reported Stolen From Fenton Home

The ring thefts are among the weekly incident reports from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Anise Drive, Fenton

Someone forced their way into a home between 8:30 a.m. and 8:55 p.m. on Aug. 17 on Anise Drive in Fenton and stole diamond and gold rings and other jewelry valued at $4,400.

Missing were 10 miscellaneous men's rings, a gold wedding ring with a single diamond in the middle and three diamonds on each side, a gold wedding band, a gold .5 carat Princess cut diamond engagement ring, two bottles of perfume and miscellaneous costume jewelry.

A sheriff's report stated the homeowner came home and found a bathroom window forced open, and that all of the missing items were located in the master bedroom. He told a sheriff's deputy nothing else in the home seemed out of place. Efforts by a sheriff's deputy to locate latent fingerprints on three jewelry boxes, the bathroom window, the bathroom toilet, and an outdoor patio chair were to no avail.
