Valley Park Man Charged With Stalking SSM St. Clare Nurse

After being treated in October, police said Tommy Reed has followed the woman, sent her roses and made unwanted contact with her.

A Valley Park man is accused of stalking a nurse who helped treat him at St. Clare Health Center in Fenton.

Tommy Reed, 49, of the 500 block of Vest Avenue in Valley Park, was charged Wednesday with stalking.

The woman treated Reed Oct. 15 at SSM St. Clare. In December and January, Reed sent cards to the hospital asking her out, and she did not reply. In January, he called the hospital and asked to speak with her. The woman told Reed she was not interested and not to contact her again, according to court documents.

A week later, he called again, police said. Co-workers reported that several times between January and April, Reed came by the hospital and asked for the woman.

In April, she reported seeing Reed sitting outside the tanning salon she uses. He began following her when she left until she pulled into a police substation, police said.

In April, he delivered a dozen roses to her workplace. When the facility’s Human Resources Department contacted him, Reed became irate, police said. He also approached a co-worker in a Lowe’s Home Center and asked why the hospital was “interfering in their relationship,” according to a court document.

Bail was set at $10,000 for Reed, and he is barred from any contact with the woman.
