Stolen Credit Card Used To Buy Cigarettes, Incense

The victim, a High Ridge store employee, left her purse in a shopping cart, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Here's a case of finder's keepers gone wrong over the weekend:

A female employee at a High Ridge store told police she left her purse in a shopping cart during work. Within 30 minutes, fraudulent purchases for cigarettes and incense were made at High Ridge and Fenton stores, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Two suspects were identified in a surveillance video and taken into custody, police said. Officers took a "partial carton of Edgefield cigarettes" and nine packs of Decade cigarettes into evidence.
