Jewelry Targeted in Thefts; Christmas Eve Noisemaker Arrested

The following information was provided by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Country Club Drive, High Ridge

Several pieces of jewelry were reported missing in a burglary that took place Dec. 27 bat a home on Country Club Dr., High Ridge. The homeowner said the items, which included two diamond pendants, a gold wedding band, a gold and diamond ring, a diamond and sapphire ring, a men's gold wedding band and a prudential white gold signet ring, had been stored in a bedroom closet and a dresser drawer and that someone entered the home and stole them. There were no signs of forced entry nor are there any suspects.

Wilbert Road, High Road

Upon receiving a call for a noise complaint on Christmas Eve from a home on Wilbert Road, High Ridge, a deputy responded and asked a neighbor to turn down the loud music. Later, responding to a second call at the same location, a deputy confronted the neighbor, who came outside with his hand in his pocket, refusing to take it out. The deputy pulled the man to the ground and arrested him. There were several spent shotgun and .22cal shells on the back porch where the shooting had taken place. A Marlin rifle, a Remington shotgun and a Ruger revolver were seized as evidence.

Briny Lane, Fenton

A homeowner contacted sheriff's deputies Dec. 24 to report that he suspected his daughter was involved in drug manufacturing in his home on Briny Lane, Fenton. Deputies detained the daughter and her boyfriend, who were inside the home, and seized unlabelled bottle of prescription medication, a large metal cup and rubber stopper containing what was suspected to be cocaine, a folded piece of paper containing what was later discovered to be cocaine and a large amount of a substance suspected to be cocaine, and a large amount of white powdery substance suspected  to be cocaine 

Perecliff Road, High Ridge

Someone stole several jewelry items sometime between Dec. 13 and Dec. 25 from a home on Perecliff Road, High Ridge. missing are a gold necklace with diamond inlay, three additional gold necklaces, four gold earrings with diamond inlays, two gold rings with one diamond inlay, a gold ring with a blue sapphire and diamond inlay, a man's gold ring with a diamond inlay, a large oval ring with a diamond inlay and a gold ring with a diamond inlay. The value of the items was set at $7,8000. The homeowner told deputies that she went to retrieve some of her mother's jewelry and found the items missing. She said she remembered returning home on Dec. 13 and finding some of the items lying on a sofa and although she said she thought it strange, she did not investigate any further. She said she thought whoever stole the jewelry entered the home through a rear door.
